Do you also work outside Alphen aan den Rijn?
Yes, everywhere. Up to 150 kilometres the journey is included in the hours. We also go further, and then the travel costs are listed separately on the quote. We have moved customers from Enschede to Portugal.
Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?
Yes, at no extra charge. We take beds, wardrobes and tables apart and put them back together at the new address. That is part of moving.
Do I have to pack everything myself?
No, that is up to you. If you pack yourself, you get boxes and tips in advance. If you would rather leave it to us, we pack everything for you.

How do I estimate my volume?
Count the large items in the m³ calculator. Or do the video check: in ten minutes we walk through the house with you on WhatsApp. Estimate a little generously; the things in cupboards and in the attic are often forgotten.
Why do you charge by the hour rather than a fixed price?
A move rarely goes exactly as planned on paper. By charging per hour, you pay for the time it actually takes. If it goes faster, you pay less. Businesses do get a fixed price after a site visit.
What does an hour cost?
€ 180 per hour including VAT, for the van with three movers. On top of that come the kilometres and the call-out charge, which depends on your area. Dismantling and reassembly are included in the hours.
When do I pay?
Afterwards, based on the hours worked. You get the invoice with an overview of the hours, so you can see exactly where the time went.
How do you charge for a move abroad?
By hours and kilometres, just like in the Netherlands. On top of that come the crew's overnight stay and any tolls or ferries. Every item is listed separately on the quote. For a large move far away we come and look first and you get a fixed price.
How long does a move to Portugal or Norway take?
Usually we load on day one, drive on days two and three and unload on day three or four. Where possible, we drive with two drivers. The schedule is in the quote, so you know in advance when we will be where.
Do you handle customs and paperwork?
Yes. Within the EU there are no customs. For Switzerland and Norway we prepare the inventory list and handle the customs formalities.

Excess € 300. Blankets, dollies and straps are in every van; we photograph fragile items before and after.
