How we calculate your volume
Most people don't know how many cubic metres their belongings take up. They do know whether a three-seater sofa is coming along. That is why this page asks about your furniture.
How we turn your list into a volume
Each item has a standard volume, and we add them together. We then add fifteen percent for the space between them in the van, because a sofa and a wardrobe never fit together exactly. We count boxes in tens.
Why the calculator asks about stairs
Stairs without a lift take roughly a quarter more time per floor, because everything is carried by two people in smaller steps. That is why this field sits next to the volume.
It remains an estimate until we see it
In the video check we walk through your home with you in about ten minutes, before you receive the quote. Then we know which van and how many hours are needed.
